Midland Motor Club Notes
Midland Motor Club Member Michael Murray completed the grueling Rally Finland on Sunday last. This is a major achievement by Michael as Finland is viewed upon as being one of the toughest rallies on the World Rally Championship. The pairing of Michael and Jakes Kelly finished the marathon 21 stages consisting of over 400km in a very creditable 76th overall and 7th in their class. This was an added bonus as the plan was just to get a finish. A few of the stages on the last day were very rutted which caused them to break a rim and a top suspension mounting but they still managed to get the car back to service. Michael would like to thank his sponsors, support crew and family for helping him achieve his goal. Midland Motor Club will hold its AGM on Tuesday the 25th September in the Stags Head, Ballinalee, Co. Longford at 9pm. New members welcome.
